Horse Show 10/27

Sorry for the lack of posting...I had a show today at Greenridge. We did Advanced Walk/Trot, Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter, 2'3, and 2'6. We got 2 first, 1 seconed, 1third 4 fourths, and Reserve Champion. He did good. Pictures will come eventually. =]

Countdown To Hunter Paces

8 Hours

I went to the barn after school today to get Doc cleaned up and ready for Hunter Paces. When I got there he was a mess. I rode for a little while. Not too long. Then gave him a bath, clipped him, braided his mane and tail, and cleaned my tack. He looks absoulty beautifull. He behaved nicely too. Kinda fussed when I did his bridle path, but what horse doesn't? Afterwards there was bible study(I hate little kids). I was able to leave him up so he doesn't get dirty yay! I can't wait for tommrow. I have to get some sleep so here are some pictures. =]

Im super excited. Ive never been so I dont know what im in for. I have to be up at the barn at 7:00. Thats early I know. Kristen is going riding Cheyanne, Kelsey is taking Joe or Delight, Jo is taking Ceres, Beth and Ashley will have Ally, and Jake, an of course Ill have Doc Man. oh and Mello is tagging along too. Woo. Im going to give Doc a bath on Friday, and hopefully be able to leave him up that night. Im sure its going to be wild cause all our horses are dumb heads. Haha. I have to clean my tackkk and everything. Yesss. I love cleaning tack. Its gonna be flippen amazing.

Mellos horse Zan Par Chase(i will address him as foxtrot) is coming Friday(hopefully). Its gonna be neattt mann.

Bare Back

I went to the barn today. I was being kinda lazy so I just brought the bridle to the pasture. I warmed up a little bareback. Then went and did a little free jumping. And then rode in the round pen to work on his bending. After he got sick of that I jumped a little. I jumped about 3 foot bareback. Thats skill, okay. You have to have a serious bond to do that. (kids dont try that at home). Hunter Paces is on Saturday. Im quite excited. Whoo. I can't wait.

I went to the barn today, but mum wouldn't let me ride. Seeing I have been sick. So I cleaned up Doc and free lounged him. He did good. Then I worked on his trickss. Yes, he does tricks. Anyways Im very proud of my beautifull Horsey. =]

Im really sick. I dont know when I will be able to really ride again. Soon though. I think im going to go out tommrow and Clean Doc Up. Im sure he is a mess. Then I may lunge him. No riding.

I got a new bridle the other day. It's really pretty. It has a flash noseband, im going to try Doc in that to see If I can get a little more control on his mouth to get more control of his head. I have a lesson in the morning. Woo! I like lessons. There gggreat. I still cant believe I own Doc. I get to do whatever with him. It is hard to get used to. I dont have to ask to ride him or if I want to clip him. (which I plan to do as soon as I find some one with clippers). It's pretty cool. Hunter Paces is in 2 weeks!!! Its going to be alot of fun. I just hope Doc doesn't make a fool of himself. Which he probably will. Well I'm going to go condition my bridle. Its so squeeky.

hey dudes

I went out and rode Doc yesterday. Well kinda. I picked up Jo and Kylie and we were too lazy to tack up so I sat on Doc bareback for a while. Then we tacked up and rode. Doc was tired and being a butt so I was done after a while. I tried to take him and ride in the pasture but it didn't work too well. So yeah. We ended up just going back to Jo's house. Anyways.

The Best Day of My Life

Today was my birthday as I mentioned the other day. And my parents suprised me with Doc!!!!! I got into the car after a sudden transportation change at school and my mom says that Doc hurt his leg and I have to go put some medication on it cause Ashley and Mrs.Beth can't do it. So I was like okay...So the whole time we are driving to the barn its pouring (and I mean pouring) down rain. We get there and he is standing in his stall with a ribbon on the door (im keeping the ribbon). He's mine. All mine. I'm so excited cause I get to take him to Zion and everything. It hasn't quite hit me yet that he's mine and were not just leasing him. We have soo much going for us. Hunter Paces is on the 3rd. And shows are about to start. He is my life now. I can't believe it.

Doc Man 9/11/2007

Here are some pictures from today =]

I went out and rode Doc today. No one was at the barn so it was nice and peacefull. Doc seemed to be a little off, But it was just a rock and he was fine once I got it out. I warmed up in the round pen, trying to do a little bending work. Then we moved into the ring and worked on our simple changes. He did really well with it. Once he switched his back legs, not his front. But thats getting some where. He deffantly knows what he should be doing. We warmed up jumping over a cross rail, and green vertical. Then I set up a barrel jump. He did good over that one, it was kinda spooky, but he did fine after a few times going over it. After getting him nice and warmed up, we started jumping the brush box and 2'6, then we put it up to 2'9. He didn't do as well as he did on Saturday, but I think he was a little tired (probably from running around in the pasture like an idiot) We did that one a few times then we were done. I'm proud of his effort. =]

2'9 babyyy

I had one of the best lessons on Saturday. Doc finnaly got his shoes back on so we could start doing our normal activities. Of course he was a mess when I got to the barn ( I can't leave him alone for 2 days without him getting messy). So I had to spend extra time grooming him. I started doing some Dressage. We worked on my test, and my position. I've pretty much got it down. Then we started jumping. We just warmed up over some practice jumps. Then they got higher. We did the bounce a few times then started jumping the brush box at about 2'6. After going good over that one. We put it up to 2'9. We did that two more times and we were done, We didnt want to stress him out. 2'9 is our record high right now. I'm so proud of my Doc man. Maby next lesson we will be jumping 3' mhmmm who knows!

My Birthday is Thursday, I'm hoping to get a very special present.

New Show Name?

Seeing the show circut starts soon, I was thinking of new show names. I orginally thought Rush Hour would be good. But then this morning it hit me. We control the Chaos. Perfect I know. =]

Dressage Dressage Dressage......

Today we did alot more Dressage because Doc lost a shoe. He has good feet so we wern't too worried.(for those who dont know, Doc is my 9YO, Quarter Horse, Chestnut, Gelding) We practiced intro test B for a while then started doing some spirals and turns on the forehand. He was doing very good. He wasnt working himself up like he normaly does. I think we are going to do very good when we start showing Dressage. If only we could get that free walk down.=[

After about 45min of Dressage we did about 15min jumping. Doc was AMAZING! We started with the bounce, he did perfectly. Then started over a 2'6 vertical. He did great over that one untill once he decided to run out. Then we finally put the brushbox up to about 2'9ish. He did absoultly amazing over that one. Once he gets his shoe back on, we are going to start doing more oxers and go up a little bit higher. Thats great news! Im so proud of Doc. He is getting into good shape. He still needs work on the techinical stuff, but other than that he is doing sooo good.

Were hopefully going to Leslies for another Dressage lesson on some Friday soon. I really want to work on our Flying Lead changes. He knows how to do them(being a barrel racer) I just cant get him to actually do it.
